Description:

This role is responsible for the content creation and facilitation of all Intermediary Distribution Sales Training & Development. The role is strategic and will include training initiatives for all professionals in the business line, including External, Internal, and Hybrid wholesalers as well as Sales Management and Strategic Business Development. The individual is responsible for setting the learning and development strategy for the business line and aligning it with Dreyfus, BNY Mellon Asset Management, and Bank of New York Mellon strategy. Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works with limited direction and is the sole training management professional with a broad range of responsibilities covering both new hires as well as existing employees. Relies on experience and judgment to conduct activities related to various training and educational programs for Intermediary sales professionals and reporting on program effectiveness.

Experience:

  • Ten+ years experience in asset management industry in sales environments.
  • Three+ years experience in training and development, instructional design, needs assessment and evaluation metrics.
  • BA/BS required.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have experience presenting concepts and ideas in a concise fashion to senior managers.
  • Must possess strong understanding of Intermediary Distribution as well as retail investment products.
  • Must have a consultative mind set and be a problem solver.
  • Experience working with technology driven learning solutions is a must.
  • Extensive travel within the U.S. required.
  • Series 7, 24 licenses preferred.
